About
Comfort is a house brand of the Australian pet wholesaler Pet Pacific, covering the practical end of containment and travel: folding wire crates, soft collapsible crates, an eight-panel fabric enclosure, and three soft carriers. It is a value range rather than a specification-led one, and the honest note up front is that the supplier publishes very little technical detail — dimensions and colours, but not door counts, tray materials or weight limits. Where we do not know something, this store says so rather than guessing. Which one you need A wire crate is the one to choose if the dog will ever be left in it unattended — it holds up to a dog that changes its mind. The Comfort wire crates come in a single 61 x 46 x 51cm size, in a standard and a heavier Deluxe build, which puts them in small-dog and puppy territory. A soft collapsible crate suits a dog that already settles: it is lighter, quieter and packs flat, which makes it the better choice for camping, shows and travel. Comfort's soft crate runs across five sizes from 50cm to 102cm, with water-resistant fabric, mesh windows and side pockets. It will not contain a chewer. The eight-panel soft enclosure in Small, Medium and Large is for supervised containment on a floor or a lawn — a puppy while the house is being made safe, or a rabbit having lawn time. The carriers cover cats and small dogs, from a plain two-size travel carrier through to a plush-lined one designed to double as a bed at home. Sizing a crate Measure the dog, not the breed. Nose to base of tail gives the length; floor to the top of the head sitting gives the height. Add a little to each. A crate is correctly sized when the dog can stand, turn around and lie fully stretched out — and no larger, because a crate with a spare corner becomes a crate with a toilet in it.
