Pond Pro covers the two pieces of equipment that do the heavy lifting on a pond: aeration and UV clarification. The range at PeekAPaw is the AirLab EV diaphragm air pumps with their diaphragms and bases, the UV Lab T8 steriliser globes and transformer, and a disposable heat pack for shipping livestock in cold weather. AirLab EV air pumps These are linear-diaphragm pumps of the type used on koi ponds and aquaculture systems, not the small vibrating pumps sold for aquariums. They run continuously, push against real depth, and are dampened for noise and vibration. The range runs EV20 through EV120: EV20 — 30 L/min, 20W EV40 — 45 L/min, 25W EV60 — 65 L/min, 45W EV80 — 85 L/min (5100 L/h), 55W EV100 — 105 L/min (6300 L/h), 60W EV120 — 120 L/min, 70W Two things a pump does not come with, and both matter. Air hose and air stones are separate. So is a non-return valve , and that one is not optional — without it a power cut siphons pond water back down the airline and into the pump. Site the pump above pond water level, under cover, out of direct sun, off bare ground and ideally on a rubber mat. Diaphragms are the wear part and are stocked here in sets covering EV020/040, EV060/080 and EV100/120; bases are stocked individually for all six models. A pump kept dry and shaded is one you rebuild for the price of a diaphragm set rather than replace. UV Lab sterilisers The single most misunderstood thing about UV: a globe keeps lighting up long after its germicidal output has gone. A steriliser that has stopped clearing green water is almost always still glowing. Treat the T8 globe as an annual replacement and write the date on the housing when you fit one. When a unit will not strike at all, check the transformer before buying another globe — it is the cheaper part and the more common failure.
