Shop Trumpet Vine Red Trumpet Vine Botanically known as Campsis radicans, Red Trumpet Vine is the boldest bloomer in our vine lineup, throwing vivid red-to-orange trumpet flowers from summer through early fall. It is deciduous, climbs to 20–30 ft. tall with a 5–10 ft. spread, and thrives in full sun to partial sun. The watering needs are moderate while establishing, then drop to low. Give it a trellis, fence, or pergola, and it repays you with hummingbirds at your window all season long. Royal Trumpet Vine The other one, the Royal Trumpet Vine, trades red for gold, opening large golden-yellow to orange trumpet blooms from summer into early fall. These flowers give a dramatic display against lush green foliage. It is also deciduous and vigorous, and reaches 20–30 ft. tall and 6–10 ft. wide.
