Cordyline Plants for Sale The colourful leaved plants that evoke the tropics! There are native cordylines found in rainforest galleries, generally, these have broad green leaves and colourful red to blackberries, Cordyline australis cultivars that grow in full sun and colder conditions (originating in NZ) and the Western Pacific varieties generally grouped as Cordyline fruiticosa. These are the ones with red, orange, pink or black leaves. Cordylines are hardy colourful shrubs that are happy in sun to shade positions dependant on variety. Being in the height range of 1-4m but relatively narrow, you can always find a spot for one. Just watch for the hungry grasshopper or occasional mealybug and prune the taller tips to keep them looking great.
