Jade Plants & Crassula Varieties Crassula plants are succulents and semi-succulents. As such they are generally quite easy to care for and tend to thrive in well lit areas with very little watering. Perhaps the best known Crassula, commonly referred to as Jade plant or Money tree is Crassula ovata - of which there are several varieties. Crassula ovata Red Edge is one of our favourites with its oval shaped leaves that have a beautiful red edge. One of the semi-succulents is Crassula aborescens Blue Waters which has blueish green leaves that all have a cute little curl. This is a great option for pots on balconies, or use in outdoor succulent gardens.
