Perimeter Control of Water Ingress in Type C Applications Wykamol Waterguard Channel is a durable PVC drainage conduit that is strategically installed around the perimeter of basement floors, precisely at the vulnerable wall-to-floor junction. This is where water pressure from surrounding soil is most likely to manifest. Water that penetrates behind the cavity drain membrane is collected by the Waterguard channel and diverted to a Sump Chamber or drainage outlet for safe removal from the structure. Each length of Waterguard Channel includes predrilled drainage holes and is designed to be installed level — not to falls — ensuring a consistent and controlled collection of water around the perimeter. The channel is embedded in a shallow trough filled with 20mm aggregate and held securely against the base of the wall.
