Modern Wall Sconces

About

Modern wall sconces bring cleaner lines and a more considered silhouette to a wall. They use pared-back materials — brushed brass, matte black, frosted glass, minimal metal frames — to give a fitting that reads as contemporary without becoming stark. Perfect for bedrooms, hallways, living rooms and bathrooms where the rest of the scheme leans modern. The category covers a few different installation types. Hardwired modern sconces give a clean, permanent finish for rooms with existing wall wiring. Cordless and battery-operated modern sconces skip the wiring entirely, giving you the same modern silhouette without an electrician — particularly useful in rented apartments and alcoves without existing wall boxes. Plug-in modern sconces connect to a nearby outlet via a visible cord, giving continuous lighting without hardwiring. Style-wise, modern sconces sit particularly well against clean-lined furniture, painted walls and mid-century pieces. Brass warms up cooler palettes; matte black adds contrast against pale walls; frosted glass softens the light.
