Pink lampshades have a rather lovely talent for making light feel flattering. Not sugary, not necessarily sweet, just warm, gentle and very good at taking the edge off a room. The mood depends enormously on the pink. Soft blush shades feel calm and easy, dusty rose is more grown-up, while brighter pink brings a playful note that can be rather wonderful in the right place. Pink table lampshades work beautifully on table lamps , especially in bedrooms and cosy reading corners. Pink ceiling lampshades can also be rather charming in smaller spaces, where one warm colour can do a lot of work. If you are decorating a child’s room, pink can be delightful without needing to be overly themed. Pair a shade with characterful children’s lights, or keep things more grown-up with wall lights and neutral fabrics elsewhere.
