The trim cylinder 3857470 is used with transom shields SX-M, SX-MDA, SX-MDB, SX-MHP, SX-MDC, SX-MBAC, while 3857471 is limited to the following transom models: SX-MLT, SX-MACLT. Their internal components and service parts are technically the same. Both of the cylinder models are offered at Poseidon Marine (#7 on the drawing): Volvo Penta® Trim piston cylinder for Volvo Penta SX-M 3857470 Volvo Penta® Trim piston cylinder for Volvo Penta SX-M 3857471 The trim hoses are different on the port and starboard side, thus we advise to be careful when ordering.
