About
From 1809-1837, the U.S. mint issued silver dimes bearing John Reich’s Capped Bust design. The obverse showed Liberty facing left, hair beneath a cloth cap inscribed liberty, surrounded by 13 stars. The reverse depicted an eagle with shield on a branch holding three arrows, with the denomination 10 c. beneath. Above the eagle appear united states of america and a ribbon inscribed e pluribus unum.
