About
Racquetball Equipment Racquetballs, protective eyewear, gloves, grips and court footwear. Racquetball is fast and enclosed, with all four walls in play, and the gear here is chosen for durability as much as for performance. Eyewear Is Not Optional The ball travels well over 100 miles per hour inside a closed court. Most leagues, clubs and sanctioned events require protective eyewear, and it is worth wearing in a casual game too. Regular glasses and sunglasses are not a substitute, since they are not built to take a direct hit. Choosing Racquetballs Racquetballs are colour coded by speed and bounce. Blue is the standard indoor ball used in most league and recreational play, and it is the right default if you are unsure. Other colours vary in speed and durability, with some intended for outdoor courts. Balls lose their liveliness well before they split, so most regular players keep a fresh can in the bag. Gloves and Grips A racquetball glove is standard equipment rather than an accessory. Grips go slick quickly in a warm enclosed court, and a glove holds better than a bare hand on an overgrip. Most players get through a few a season. Shop by Category Browse racquetballs , protective eyewear , gloves , grips and accessories and court footwear .
