Our woven placemats are available in rattan and abaca fibre - both exceptional natural materials that are especially strong and incomparable with similar and more commonly found fibres. Both materials are biodegradable, fast growing and support local communities through craft skills. Our rattan collection is especially strong and robust, whereas our abaca collection is a fibre that is particularly lustrous, soft and strong - yet much more supple. All pieces are hand woven by skilled makers in areas close to where the natural material grows. Our linen placemats are made with linen woven from European grown flax for linen with brilliant longevity, softness and strength. Available in a number of designs from classic rectangular placemats to more decorative styles and hand-stitched, coloured options. Cork-backed placemats are designed by us and made in England.
