About

Chrironomids, or Midge Larvae, make up a significant portion of a trout's caloric intake in stillwater ecosystems. While they are still relevant in rivers, a lake fisherman must have a variety of Chironomids to choose from. Most anglers fish these under some type of strike indicator, but they can also be fished on an intermediate sinking line or under a dry fly.
