These are some of the very best patterns available to the angler today. Fish the pupae or nymphs during the day and in the evening switch over to dry flies. Twitch and skate the dry flies to imitate the females laying eggs. These flies will draw vicious strikes! The October Caddis is consumed by trout in varying stages beginning as an immature larvae inside a gravel case, then a mature pupae beginning metamorphosis, and finally as an adult.
