Fly lines for Redfish need to turn over fairly large flies and set them down soft. Often a fly line similar to a Permit taper is good, and there are even some line specifically built for Redfish. A fly line built for Bonefish is typically too delicate, and a shooting head will be far too aggressive. Most anglers choose a line right in the middle offering them some all around versatility.
