About
Chalice's are beloved for their unique colorations and adaptability to aquarium life. They are relatively easy to care for and require low maintenance. Chalice corals prefer lower lighting conditions between 50-100 par as they are often found dwelling at 40-80 foot depths. They like a moderate flow in order to keep their flesh clean and free of detritus buildup. “Chalice” refers to a group of coral species. The most commonly encountered come from the following Genera: Echinophyllia, Echinopora, Echinomorpha, Physophyllia, Pectinia, Mycedium, Oxypora, Lithophyllon
