Many domestic users are switching to low-smoke or smokeless coal, in light of government environmental legislation taking effect from 1st May 2023. Smokeless coal includes anthracite coal, semi-anthracite coal and low-volatile steam coal. Among these are the bituminous blacksmith coal, including anthracite coal for blacksmithing .
