About
Kingfisher Braid on Braid Rope Kingfisher Braid on Braid is the rope most cruising sailors and club racers reach for when they want a reliable, low stretch line that lasts. The construction pairs a braided polyester core with a braided polyester cover, heat set under load after braiding to reduce stretch. The result is a rope that feels good in the hand, splices easily, and handles sheets, halyards and control lines without complaint. If you sail a cruising yacht, a keelboat, or any boat where rope value matters more than gramme-counting performance, this is your default rope. The 8mm through 14mm sizes are popular as mainsheets and genoa sheets on production cruisers. The 16mm and larger diameters work hard as docklines and primary halyards on bigger yachts. Smaller 6mm options are common on dinghies that need a robust general-purpose line. Sold by the metre with one continuous length per order. We also stock 50m and 100m reels for clubs, riggers and anyone re-roping a boat from scratch. If you want the rope spliced or tapered, get in touch and we'll quote you.
