CO2 inflation is built for emergency tubeless repairs, not for daily top-ups. A single 16g threaded cartridge holds enough compressed gas to seat a plugged motorcycle tyre, and carrying 2 to 3 cylinders covers a full reflate on most road and adventure tyres. CO2 leaks faster than air through the casing, so reflate with a proper pump within 24 to 48 hours and confirm the plug holds. Carry a repair kit alongside your safety gear: a roadside puncture is no use if your jacket and gloves are not rated to EN 17092, where AAA is the highest abrasion class and A is the entry level, or your back protector falls short of CE Level 2 over CE Level 1. Keep cartridges away from heat above 50 degrees Celsius and check threads for corrosion every 6 to 12 months.
