About
Custom race suits are the only way to get leather and Kevlar protection cut to your exact body, not a generic size chart. Shark Leathers builds road and off-road suits to your measurements for adults and kids, so the armour sits where it should and the fit stays locked in at speed. Why a made-to-measure race suit beats off-the-rack A custom suit is the strongest protection a rider can wear because every panel is cut to your measurements. Leather remains the benchmark abrasion material, with cowhide commonly run at 1.2mm to 1.4mm thickness to meet the highest EN 17092 AAA tier. Kevlar aramid fibre adds tear resistance and heat tolerance up to roughly 400C before it chars rather than melts. Both materials are built into the Shark Leathers range below. CE Level 2 armour absorbs more impact energy than CE Level 1, with a maximum transmitted force of 9 kN versus 18 kN under test. A made-to-measure suit keeps shoulder, elbow and knee armour seated over the joint instead of sliding 20mm to 40mm out of place.
