There's a floor lamp balanced on the wrong side of the room because the sofa has no table next to it. Or a reading lamp sitting on the coffee table, which means it's too far away to be useful and the coffee table now has one fewer usable surface. A lamp table solves that. It's a small piece with a specific job: it puts the light in the right place and gives you a surface at arm's reach for a drink, a book, or the remote control. Not glamorous, but genuinely useful. Lamp tables here come in two material families: marble and mirrored. Both suit a living room scheme comfortably, and both work as companion pieces to a coffee table or console table in the same material. The scale is smaller than a coffee table, and the purpose is more focused, but the choice of material still matters for how the piece sits in the room and how much upkeep it asks of you.
