About
Muckware is the work of Grace Chaplin, a ceramicist based in the Byron Bay hinterland. She grew up in Byron Bay surrounded by small, family-run businesses, and studied Fine Art at UNSW Art & Design before turning to ceramics in her honours year. Muckware began soon after she graduated, in 2020, and continues to be made by Grace alone, from her studio in Newrybar, NSW. Every piece is wheel thrown by hand and finished in one of Muckware's signature glazes, then high fired for daily use.
