In line with the International Ice Hockey Federations (IIHF), Ice Hockey Australia has confirmed the mandate of neckguards for all levels of the sport in Australia. 1 MARCH 2024: From March 1, neck guards are mandatory for all IHA sanctioned competitions with body checking. 1 JULY 2024: Neck guards are mandatory across all IHA sanctioned competitions.
