Explore these nifty dab straws and you’ll know what we’re talking about. What Is a Dab Straw? A dab straw — also called a honey straw, or wax straw — is a long, pipe-like object made from a variety of materials. A glass dab straw is a popular choice, but they also come in titanium, quartz, silicone, ceramic, and sometimes even wood! Each material has its pros and cons, and we’re proud to offer you a wide selection so you can find your new favorite kind. One end of the straw is used for dabbing, the other for inhaling your concentrates of choice. They come in a variety of shapes and designs. The most basic is a cylinder but you can get super intricate, all the way up to a shaped design or an entire rig! How Do I Use One? Great question! Heat the straw end of your dab straw with a torch. Then, touch the straw to your dab within a silicone or other heat-proof container. Inhale the smoke through the mouthpiece end and boom! You’re now a professional dabber. Frequently Asked Questions What’s the difference between standard dab straws and Nectar Collectors? Dab straws and Nectar Collectors function under the same premise — heat one end of the device, touch it to your dab, and inhale the smoke. Nectar Collector is a brand name that has since became a general name for dab straws (kind of how we call all facial tissues a "Kleenex"). How do you clean a Nectar Collector? If your dab straw or Nectar Collector is getting a little grimy, that’s no problem at all! Check out SMOKEA®'s selection of cleaning products
