Mexican Blankets The serape stripe is one of the oldest blanket patterns still worth owning, and it works best woven into the fabric rather than printed on a flat cotton sheet. Our Taos and Kasbah prints use a jacquard loom to build the pattern into the weave itself, so the stripes have texture you can feel, not just see. They work as a couch throw, a car blanket, a picnic layer, or a bright accent draped over a chair — the bold palette holds up next to plain furniture instead of disappearing into it. These are woven fabric blankets, not the heavy wool of a traditional Saltillo weave, and we don't claim otherwise. What you get is a lighter, easier-care alternative with the same graphic stripe language.
