Outdoor Blankets Most outdoor blankets are either too flimsy for a park bench or too precious to leave on the porch rail overnight. Ours split the difference — a jacquard woven rug with enough body to sit on a wood bench or a folding chair without sliding, in colors that don't show every bit of outdoor grime immediately. Drape one over a porch swing, spread it around a fire pit, or throw it in the back seat for whenever you end up somewhere with a place to sit and no chair. Moss, Pine, and Clay tones read more like patio decor than a leftover picnic blanket. It's woven fabric, not outdoor-rated vinyl — treat it like any textile you'd want to bring in before a hard rain.
