St. Damien of Molokai St. Damien of Molokai, a Belgian priest, is renowned for his selfless ministry to the lepers of Molokai, Hawaii. Volunteering to serve the isolated leper colony, he dedicated his life to caring for the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of the afflicted, eventually contracting and dying from the disease himself. His extraordinary compassion and sacrifice made him a powerful witness to the dignity of every human life.
