About
Taking pictures underwater is completely different from on land. When light enters the water, the intensity and the wavelength of the light are more and more affected the deeper you go. At a depth of six meters, the longer wavelength red light is absorbed, then orange follows at 10 meters. This is why pictures are taken underwater look bluish or greenish. The STC Aqua-Red Underwater Fader with its zigzag rotating mechanism adjusts for depth, correcting for blue and green wavelengths coming through.
