The 10R80 is Ford's 10-speed longitudinal automatic, co-developed with General Motors and introduced on the 2017 F-150. It shares its architecture with GM's 10L80 and 10L90 but runs different software and clutch specifications, so parts are not universally interchangeable — check the application before you order. You will find it behind the 2.7L, 3.5L and 5.0L in the F-150, plus the Expedition, Explorer, Mustang, Transit, and the Lincoln Navigator and Aviator. Sun Transmissions stocks the parts for it: Transtec and TSS overhaul kits with and without pistons, Raybestos GPZ and High Energy friction packs, piston and bushing kits, filters, sealing ring kits, the Sonnax Zip Kit, and the redesigned C-D-F drum.
