About
Over 130 Years of Coffee Caffè Vergnano was founded in 1882 by Domenico Vergnano. He roasted his own coffee as part of a small shop, which also sold spices and candy to the local community of Chieri in Piedmont, Italy. Multiple generations of the Vergnano family continued Domenico's work, sourcing high-quality coffee beans and connecting with shops. By the 1970s, Caffè Vergnano was supplying coffee to baristas and retailers throughout Italy. Today, the brand's coffee is available in over 60 countries across the globe. Quality and Sustainability Caffè Vergnano is committed to the quality of each and every roast. A sample of every shipment is tasted by Carlo Vergnano to ensure it meets the standards of the family. When shipments arrive, coffee beans are sorted by location and slow-roasted using a traditional process. While they're being roasted, the beans are carefully watched to guarantee the full flavor and aroma of the coffee beans are released. Lastly, the beans are either ground or packaged as whole beans by expert coffee-makers. Caffè Vergnano products are Kosher- and Halal-certified as well as Rainforest Alliance-certified for sustainability.
