Liqueurs are sweet alcoholic beverages made from fruits, nuts, herbs, spices or a combination of these. There are so many variants that can either be drank on their own or used as a base for cocktails. The minimum alcohol content is around 20% and can go as high as 50%. Liqueurs are usually served with dessert at the end of a meal. They can also be used to cook and bake (for baked food, it gives flavour as well as helps preserve it).
