About

A good snowboard jacket keeps you dry, warm and comfortable so you can ride all day whatever the mountain throws at you. The right jacket balances waterproofing, breathability and warmth for your conditions, with the features that matter to snowboarders. Getting it right is the difference between a great day and a cold, wet one. This collection covers snowboard jackets from trusted brands, in insulated and shell styles, for men and women, across a range of waterproof ratings and features. From resort days to backcountry laps, there is a jacket to suit how and where you ride. Not sure which jacket you need? The guide below explains it. Browse the range below, or see the full snowboarding collection to complete your kit. What Makes a Good Snowboard Jacket? A snowboard jacket has to keep snow and water out, let sweat escape, and hold the right amount of warmth, all while giving you freedom to move. The combination of waterproofing, breathability, insulation and snowboard-specific features is what separates a proper riding jacket from a general winter coat. Understanding Waterproof Ratings Waterproofing is measured in millimetres, showing how much water pressure a fabric resists before leaking. Around 5,000mm to 10,000mm: fine for drier, colder resorts and lighter use Around 10,000mm to 15,000mm: a solid all-round choice for most riders 15,000mm and above: for wet conditions and hard, frequent riding For changeable UK and European conditions, a mid to high rating gives reliable protection through a full day. Breathability Breathability, often given alongside the waterproof rating, shows how well a jacket lets sweat escape. Higher breathability keeps you drier from the inside when you are working hard, which matters as much as waterproofing for comfort. Pit zips and vents add extra airflow when you heat up on the climb or in spring sun. Insulated or Shell? Jackets split into two broad types, suited to different riders. Insulated jackets: built-in warmth for simple, cosy
