About

An integrated RJ45 connector — also called a MagJack, an ICM, or an RJ45 jack with transformer — places the isolation transformer and common-mode choke inside the connector shell instead of on the PCB. That frees the board area the discrete magnetics would take and keeps the pairs short between jack and PHY. TeleWire Technology manufactures 449 of them in Taiwan. Line rate — 10/100 through 10G Base-T. The magnetics are wound for the rate. Power — PoE (15.4 W), PoE+ (30 W), PoE++ (60–90 W) at the PSE. Shielding — with EMI grounding fingers for a bezel bond, or shielded through the board. Ports — 1x1 to 2x8, right-angle or vertical, low-profile where height is fixed. Cross-references cover Halo, Bel Fuse, Pulse, Würth Elektronik, TE Connectivity, Amphenol, UDE, YDS, Hanrun and Bothhand.
