How to measure for a 900mm vanity Measure the wall before you measure the vanity. A 900mm unit needs 900mm of clear wall, plus room at each side for the door swing, the toilet and the shower screen. Work through these steps with a tape and a pencil. Measure the wall from corner to corner at bench height, then again at floor level, because older walls are rarely square.
