Caroma Taps

About

Caroma Taps Buying Guide Caroma was founded in Adelaide in 1941 and designs its tapware in Australia, as ranges that match its own basins, baths, toilets and showers. This collection holds Caroma basin mixers, wall mixers and sets, bath and shower mixers, spouts, bath outlets, and kitchen and laundry mixers from the Luna, Liano II, Urbane II, Contura II and Riviere ranges. Which Caroma tap range should I choose? Each range sets the shape of the handle, spout and body. Luna has soft curves and clean lines, and suits family bathrooms, ensuites and investment properties. Liano II is minimal and architectural, with thin edges and sharper geometry. Urbane II has flat, rounded lines in round and square styles, with a wide colour choice. Contura II has the softest, most sculptural look. Choose the range that matches the basin and shower you have chosen. See Caroma Luna , Caroma Liano and Urbane II . What finishes do Caroma taps come in? Caroma taps come in chrome, matte black, brushed nickel, brushed brass, brushed bronze and gunmetal, depending on the range. Brushed brass, brushed nickel and brushed bronze are mostly PVD finishes, which are hard-wearing and hold their colour. Chrome and matte black are mostly electroplated. Finish shades can differ slightly between ranges, so for an exact match, stay within one range. What is Caroma EasySwitch? EasySwitch is Caroma's universal in-wall body system. The plumber installs the in-wall body first, and you choose the visible tapware and finish later, or update it in future without opening the wall. It works with the Urbane II, Liano II, Contura II, Luna and Opal wall-mounted ranges. Some wall mixers include the in-wall body and others sell the trim alone, so check what is in the box. Are Caroma taps lead free? Many are. Caroma offers lead free versions across several ranges, such as the Luna lead free basin mixer, the Liano II lead free wall basin/bath mixer set and the Liano II lead free pull out sink mixer.
