Fienza Basins

About

Fienza Basins Buying Guide Fienza is an Australian bathroom brand founded in 2009, and its basins centre on a sealed concrete range in soft earthy colours, alongside two gloss white ceramic semi-inset basins. The collection suits bathrooms where the basin is a design feature, from compact powder rooms to relaxed, natural-toned ensuites. What concrete basins does Fienza make? Jada pill: above counter, 600 x 280 x 120mm, holding 12.3 litres. Jada round: above counter, 390mm across and 120mm high, holding 10 litres. Alba: a round bowl, 362mm across and 145mm high, holding 7.2 litres. Blanca: wall hung, 650 x 300 x 200mm, with a right hand bowl and integrated shelf. Valentina: a fluted arch wall hung basin, 465 x 360 x 119mm, holding 10.5 litres. Colours are Warm Grey, Sage, Tuscan, Terrazzo and Warm White, depending on the model. Each basin has a food-grade nano sealant. Will my concrete basin match the photo? Not exactly. Concrete varies naturally in colour and texture, so each basin will differ slightly from the images and from the next one. That variation is part of its character. If the basin needs to sit closely alongside tiles or paint, choose a tone with some flexibility in mind. Do Fienza basins have tap holes or an overflow? No. None of the basins in this collection has a tap hole or an overflow. The mixer mounts on the bench or the wall, and each basin needs a 32mm waste without an overflow, sold separately. For the 120mm and 145mm high above counter basins, choose a tall basin mixer or a wall mixer whose spout clears the rim and reaches the bowl. How heavy are concrete basins and how are they installed? Concrete is heavy: the Alba weighs 7kg, the Jada round 9kg, the Jada pill 11kg, the Valentina 12kg and the Blanca 22.5kg. Above counter basins need a solid benchtop. The Blanca and Valentina include heavy duty brackets and bolts, but the wall needs noggins or a support beam fitted before it is lined, and concealed pipework with a visible bottle trap. A licens
