Welcome to the wonderful world of clams. Mussels and cockles are the best-known clams and scallops probably the most revered. But there are thousands of other of which we sell a fair handful. Tiny meretrix clams are cheap as chips, the meat in giant cherrystones is usually well more than a mouthful. Razor clams also have plenty of meat, which is very sweet. Amande clams taste like almonds and verni are very posh indeed. We could go on, but this is just to get you started.
