One of the most unusual items we sell, the gooseneck barnacle is harvested from seaside cliffs by intrepid (and expensive!) collectors dangling on ropes. They're found in disparate parts of the world but ours come from Spain. There, percebes are considered a delicacy and the price is comparable to that of lobster. Short-fat gooseneck barnacles are considered the best, but we're just grateful for what we can get. Drop into boiling salted water for two minutes, then snap and suck!
