About

Some people find certain fish easier to enjoy as part of a low-histamine diet. This collection brings together species that are generally considered lower in histamine when handled and frozen properly, such as cod, haddock, plaice, sole, trout, and sea bass. Because histamine levels rise as fish ages, freshness is key. That’s why we freeze our fish at peak quality, helping lock in flavour and minimise histamine development. While oily species like mackerel and tuna are known to be naturally high in histamine, these leaner white fish and mild favourites are commonly chosen by people looking to reduce dietary histamine. Please note: This information is provided for general guidance only and is not medical advice. Histamine intolerance varies greatly between individuals, if you have histamine intolerance, always consult a healthcare professional before making dietary changes.
