Aluminium hose fittings and pipe adaptors for pneumatic, compressed air and industrial fluid transfer. Aluminium is lighter than brass or steel and has good corrosion resistance in dry and low-moisture environments, making it a practical choice where weight matters: portable equipment, overhead pipework, or mobile plant machinery. The range covers hex nipples, reducing bushes, elbows and adaptors in BSP thread sizes. Like brass fittings, aluminium uses BSP thread forms in both parallel (BSPP) and tapered (BSPT) variants. BSPP threads require a face seal or O-ring; BSPT threads seal on the taper with PTFE tape. One important check before ordering: aluminium is susceptible to galvanic corrosion when in direct contact with dissimilar metals in the presence of moisture. In mixed-metal systems, consider using an isolating connector or selecting fittings in a compatible material throughout.
