Globe valves use a movable plug or disc that closes against a fixed seat inside a spherical valve body, giving precise control over flow rate as well as the ability to shut off completely. Unlike gate or ball valves, globe valves can be used for throttling — adjusting the position of the plug changes the flow area and therefore the flow rate. The Hosemaster stocks globe valves rated for operating temperatures up to 200°C, as well as bronze globe valves designed for heating and ventilation applications. Suitable for steam, hot water, HVAC and general process control duties.
