Non-return valves — also known as one-way valves, reflux valves or foot valves — allow flow in one direction only, closing automatically when flow stops or attempts to reverse. They require no manual operation and no external power, making them a reliable passive component for backflow prevention across a wide range of systems. Applications include pump discharge lines, industrial process pipework, compressed air circuits and domestic appliances such as dishwashers and washing machines. The Hosemaster stocks non-return valves in both female-to-female and male-to-female BSP connections, across a range of standard diameters in brass construction.
