What decides whether your system works is flow at the height the water actually has to reach – and that falls away sharply. A pump rated 2,000 L/h at 0m might manage 800 L/h at 1.5m. Keeping it alive Never run it dry – that is the commonest way to kill a submersible. Clean the inlet strainer monthly; a clogged filter looks exactly like a failing pump.
