Most overfeeding comes from eyeballing a dose out of a bottle cap, and most inconsistency between feeds comes from not measuring the same way twice. What you actually need A graduated jug for mixing – 1L or 2L with clear markings you can read when it is full and wet. Syringes for small doses. Additives are often dosed at 0.5-2ml per litre, which is impossible to judge by eye from a bottle. Pipettes for pH adjusters, where a millilitre either way moves the whole tank. A beaker for calibration solution and pH meter storage.
