Icelandic Hand knitted Wool Sweaters

About
Every sweater in this collection is hand-knitted in Iceland from 100% Icelandic sheep's wool — the traditional lopapeysa , made the way it has been for generations. Because each one is knitted by hand, no two are exactly alike. What makes Icelandic wool special is the sheep it comes from. The fleece carries two natural fibres: a soft inner coat that insulates, and a glossy outer coat that repels wind and rain. Knitted together as lopi, they make a sweater that is remarkably warm for its weight, breathable enough to wear all day, and durable enough to last decades with simple care. Which lopapeysa is right for you? Pullovers are the classic choice; cardigans (button or zip) are easier to layer; hooded versions add extra weather protection. Most of our designs use the traditional circular yoke pattern in the natural colours of the Icelandic sheep — greys, browns, creams — alongside modern colourways. Between sizes? Icelandic sweaters are worn relaxed — see our size guide to find the fit that comes closest to your measurements. We're a small family-run shop in Hafnarfjörður, Iceland, and we've done things the same way since 2013: real Icelandic wool, real hand-knitting, and honest answers — if you're unsure about wool or sizing, just ask us.
