In December 2023 Shibui Knits' owner and founder, Darcy Cameron, and Madelinetosh's Laura Zander agreed to transfer Shibui Knits' product lines to Madeline Tosh. Shibui Knits are now being remarketed as part of Madelinetosh's line of luxury yarns. The agreement included the hand off of Shibui’s entire portfolio of yarns – including the wildly popular mohair-silk blend Silk Cloud and Pebble – along with patterns and signature colours. The exact same yarns you know and love. Because Shibui’s yarns are much loved in the yarn industry, Madelinetosh chose to have them produced to the exact specifications at the same mill in Japan as the originals.
