About
Cowhide leather is the most versatile leather in the industry. It spans over a dozen thicknesses, four tempers, six finishes, hundreds of colors and many textures. There are two main tanning processes, vegetable tanned and chrome tanned. Chrome tanning makes up a significant portion of the tanning industry as it has a very quick turnaround of a single day! In addition to the quick turnaround it produces leather that is supple and pliable. Skilled craftsman and new leatherworkers alike utilize cowhide leather.
