About
The Leather Guy has worked for over 22 years to build partnerships with many different tanneries all across the globe. So this has allowed us to become the leather supplier we are today. We offer our customers a huge selection of high quality leather hides and sides in hundreds of different colors and styles. What kind of leather will I find? Chrome tanned is our highest seller and most common tannage found in the store. This tannage stretches across a variety of animal types; cowhide, deerskin, calfskin, goatskin, bison, exotics and pigskin. The thinner leathers, 1-3 oz are perfect for inlays, lining, jewelry and earrings. 3+ ounces are great for handbags, clothing, watchbands, furniture and much more! In addition to chrome we carry the following tannages: oil tanned, vegetable tanned, brain tanned, and rawhide. How do we sell our leather? We offer Full Hides, which are typically 40-60 square foot, and Sides which range from 18-32 sq ft. Don’t need a full side for your project? Our project hides ranges from 1-10 sq ft with the most common sizes being 6.5-7.5 sq ft. You can typically find them alongside their side counterparts. Looking for a variety of small to medium sized pieces? Our scrap remnant bags offer a variety of sizes and colors giving you creative flexibility in your projects. However, if you fancy more consistent cuts, our pre-cut sheets have you covered with our most common sizes 4” x 6”, 8” x 10” and 12” x 12”. What sets us apart from other leather suppliers?
