These products are not mediums, but additives that are added to change the characteristics of acrylic paints and they are generally used sparingly. Retarders slow drying time. Wetting agents and Flow-Aid reduce the viscosity of paints and increase dispersion. Liquithick actually causes acrylics to thicken.
