Joel White (1930-1997) was a naval architect (MIT), and designer of some of the most popular designs we carry. No doubt, thousands upon thousands of his designs have been built. It's quite fair to say that WoodenBoat and the community, were immeasurably enhanced by Joel. Click WB 141 for a piece on Joel, written by Jon Wilson.
